i promise i wont leave this blog idle too long from now, i'm having trouble trying to start this entry- there's simply too much i want to talk about! argh. let's cover the main points via the foolproof point forms!1. i have no friendsbut it's okay cos i've got food!!!! haha well okay, gravity of the statement aside, what i'm trying to imply is that i think i'm TOO complacent in my comfort zone- family & food, i'm neglecting other sources of communication. to the point where i hadn't logged in fb and msn for nearly 5 days!!!and get this: what triggered me to re-enter the cyber world was my mom. she went "wah girl, your friend xxx got girlfriend already ah?!" to which i shockingly demanded how'd she know. I bought this from Lowes after hearing such great reviews. I'm sure glad I did. So much easier then peanut oil. I live in Louisiana and have been frying turkey's for over 13 years. I do not see how anyone could mess this up. It does take a little longer then frying, but well worth the time. Less mess and you don't have to sit thier and baby sit it. I did a 14 pound bird in about 2 1/2 hours. I used a digital thermometor and cooked it tell 180 degrees. At 170 I put the lid on and it browned up perfect. It was also very juicey. Where have I been?
I have been brooding, I have been practicing, I have been suffering with another Yankees World Series. I have been gigging and I have been composing. I have been stewing about health care and I have been disgusted at the lack of spine shown by the Democrats. But what I have not been doing is writing and that will now change. Since I got facebook, and then twitter account,s my urge to write in this blog has lessened. I believe that this has led to a state of depression, slightly below the radar, but palpable novertheless. There's a kind of anxiety that comes with updating and waiting for responses on social media. At first it was a kind of dopamine release, but lately it feels leaden. So I come back to you, dear readers. Let's see what we can get accomplished.
